TECHNIQUES & THERAPIES

CHIROPRACTIC ADJUSTMENTS
Dr. Kara is experienced in a variety of techniques to provide you with the best care. Each of our bodies responds to treatment differently, so it’s nice to have a few different tools in our tool box! She uses the diversified technique, manipulation therapy, activator technique and thompson-drop table technique to restore normal joint function. For infants, light pressure (similar to what you would put on your own eyelid) is used to restore normal range of motion in spinal segments that aren’t moving optimally. Chiropractic adjustments improve range of motion and decrease pain and inflammation.
-
SOFT TISSUE THERAPY
Dr. Kara uses a combination of soft tissue therapies in her practice. These include massage, trigger point therapy, and muscle release technique. Soft tissue therapy helps improve tissue quality, reduce inflammation, improve range of motion and supports chiropractic adjustments.
-
CUPPING THERAPY
Cupping therapy is a decompressive soft tissue treatment which promotes blood flow, decreases inflammation, improves scar & fascial adhesions, reduces trigger points, relieves pain and improves range of motion.
-
REHAB
We want to support what we are doing in the clinic with at home exercises & rehab. Dr. Kara will always provide you with exercises that you can do at home to support the progress we are making in our treatment sessions. We want to get your body functioning optimally so your condition/pain doesn’t return after we get you feeling well! Rehab will consist of a combination of specific strengthening exercises and stretches.

ROCKTAPE
Rocktape is a brand of kinesiotape that is great for injury support and pain relief. It decompresses the surrounding tissue which promotes blood flow and lymphatic drainage which reduces inflammation. This will help reduce pain and improve range of motion. It is a great adjust therapy to support what we are doing in office while you are living your day-to-day life.
